Having been a student of Xavier University (XU) for three consecutive semesters already made me realize how much I am missing Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT). MSU-IIT is different from XU. MSU-IIT which offers low-cost education runs under the government. The infrastructures are just fine and enough to accommodate the students although the campus has fewer areas for students to stay during vacant periods. Despite the lesser privileges a student gets when it comes to facilities and the like, still, they, and also the faculty members, are competitive enough as evidenced by the high performance ratings in different professional examinations. Simpler life is depicted also by the students who are less conscious of their physical appearance, considering the fact that uniforms are not mandated, and that they are most of the time down-to-earth. Having fun does not necessitate pulling bills from the pocket. Meals can be had for as low as Php 20.00. Meanwhile, XU, being a private sectarian university, offers an expensive education. The campus is huge with appreciable infrastructures that can also accommodate the students. It also has several areas that are adaptive for school works, socializing, and studying. And like MSU-IIT, both the students and the faculty are competitive with good performance ratings too. Moreover, XU mandates the wearing of school uniforms but the students are more inclined into being physically conscious especially during wash day. Also, spending is attached to almost every move that a student takes. Here is the thing: IIT is never a notch higher than Xavier and vice versa. It is just that I see MSU-IIT simpler than XU.

It Was After All A Choice!
Choices define my college life. I was put into dilemma when I graduated from highshcool. I was faced with different choices which are very hard for me. I was made to choose from following what I really wanted from what’s good for me as they say. A lot of things sank to me when I was torn between taking up Accountancy or Interior Designing. It was hard. I had a couple of sleepless nights. I was bothered and I started to get unhappy when I was close to choosing what my family wanted for me from what I really wanted at first. I felt that the whole world turned its back on me when I finally decided to enroll in Accountancy which even made worse when I did it in a university I didn’t prefer at all. I didn’t feel the excitement every college freshman felt. I was like seeing bunches of burdens. I can see darkness when I attended the first day of class. I was really indifferent from all other students who wear great smiles. I didn’t even dress myself at my best for the first few weeks in school. I just wore something that’s more appropriate in strolling around a park. I was really devastated and I felt like carrying the entire universe in my back. I can hardly do the right things although I was close to being a Dean’s Lister during the first semester. All that I know was that I was betrayed and that my heart was broken and bleeding because of this choice. I don’t know where to gain strength. I can’t appreciate everything that was there for me. It was like it’s raining every day and that there was no chance of the sun rising again for me. I hold on to these feelings until I’ve finally realized that there was no way I am going to make a brighter future me if I continue to be like this. I was very pessimistic so I tried to be the optimistic one. After all, it was my choice to start my college life a misery and to make it a remarkable one was a choice I decided to follow!

Natal Report for ME???
I've been receiving messages, mostly spam messages from this unknown (to me) website which I think I joined or signed up years ago. It's a horoscope thing so maybe I was curious during that moment with the happenings in my life that I made myself known to that website. Anyway, I usually ignore her messages because it always end up with a note that more likely says I have to fully join and PAY in credit or cash for me to enjoy whatever services or revelations she's gonna offer. So being the typical PINOY, I won't of course 'coz it's a waste of money and I don't have any to pay either! haha :D
So much for that, I happened to read one of her messages and it says: YOUR NATAL REPORT IS READY. I was intrigued so I read it. And I just wanna post it here coz most of the things she said in that excerpt (yes, it was an excerpt only) are quite TRUE to me. :))

"... 1Your emotional development may have been delayed or it may simply be inadequate.-this "reading" is gotta be kidding me. nyahahaha!
You find it difficult to be warm and loving towards people because you have been hurt in the past and you fear it may happen again. You are stingy with material resources and with affection.
You believe that everything must be earned and paid for ? there are no free lunches.
Because you find it difficult to express your feelings, you tend to show people how you feel by buying them gifts as a substitute for you and your feelings. If they reject your gift, then this is easier to take than if they reject you. Though you crave love and affection, intimacy is difficult for you.
You have a shallow opinion of yourself and your own worth and talents.
You do not understand why anyone could possibly love you. You feel that you are unlovable.
This is something you need to strongly work on as your life will continue to be miserable if you do not learn to change your attitude. You are as worthy of love as anyone else, but you must come to realize that for yourself. Do not let past experiences govern your actions and feelings for the rest of your life.
You are a serious and reserved person who appears to others as cold, aloof, unfeeling and uncaring.
You are not necessarily these things, it's just that you are very cautious in letting anyone see the real you or in letting people get close to you. You want to love and be loved, but you find this very difficult.
You need to remember that you first have to give love to get love. And you can't buy real love.
It doesn't work that way. You find it difficult to enjoy yourself in a light-hearted, open and playful way.
You understand work, duty and responsibility a lot better than you understand feelings, affection and love.
Rarely do you do anything for pleasure. If something involves work or getting something done, then that is pleasure for you.
Other people do not understand that about you. There are times, though, when you procrastinate and put off attending to necessities with the result that duties tend to pile up. You need to learn how to balance the seriousness with life and the enjoyment of life.
You may become romantically involved with people who do not value you or treat you well.
You need to learn to love and value yourself before you will find happiness in love.
Security is very important to you, yet you do not know how to feel secure.
Your fear of loss, of money, property, loved ones, etc., makes you very insecure.
This negativity colors all your relationships for the worse. You must learn how to trust again.
You must learn how to face your fears, even if it is painful. This is the only way you will ever overcome them...."

Not Really New but It makes me feel New and Better!
There are a lot of things that bother me lately. But one thing's for sure, I'm happy that I get to be involved and attached with the university stuffs now compared to my previous years though I've also been affiliated to certain some. I'm joining organizations although I am hesitant to this specific org which I don't get the point of joining but then there are people convincing me too yet to my surprise, I REGISTERED! *weird*
I am now attached with XU's School of Business and Management Student Council as a student leader of which I was appointed or given the responsibility as a Deputy Commissioner of the Students' Rights and Welfare Department (STRAW) - an autonomous body linked with the Central Government's Xavier Students' Action Center (XSAC). I am happy with the current happenings in my college life yet I am very much looking forward to ACEing my academics since I wanna do the best of what I can not just for now but until I graduate hopefully, INSHALLAH! :)
Things are making their good ways to me now and it's helping me a lot!
-this was supposed to be posted a month ago and I just realized now it was saved as drafts only. haha!

The Young Generation of the Relatives of Sultan Mohammad Ali Dimaporo Grand Reunion with KQD =)
June 7, 2009 the final date of which it was initially scheduled as May 28-30, 2009. It had gone to series of obstacles until finally, this Grand Reunion was made possible.
This reunion was initiated for us, young generations, of the relatives of the late Sultan Mohammad Ali Dimaporo(SMAD) in order for us to get to know each other and in a way get to bond even at this very moment only. With these, it would also strengthen the relationship and family ties of today's generation and for the upcoming ones Inshallah!
The late Sultan's cousin Sultan Muliloda Macarangkat Datumulok Dimaporo is my grandfather and is currently the only one left among the great ancestors of the Mangotara sa Binidayan. The latter would like to come but he wasn't able. But he was happy indeed for the said event and the like with regards to his family and relatives for we are seeking for unity and camaraderie among us.
SMAD's grandson now the incumbent Governor of Lanao del Norte and son of Cong. Abdullah Dimakuta Dimaporo, Khalid Q. Dimaporo, was the main guest of the event for he showed, even during the first reunion held in Mindanao Civic Center last April, sincere interest with regards to the unifying event as it was said. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to listen properly to what he had delivered during his speech for I was out for something too personal so I won't be able to share some points here.
The reunion didn't actually start well since there was improper dissemination of information but overall, it was good. During the program, everyone's like busy with different kind of things and as I've heard from some, it was quite unorganized but this is acceptable for this is the first time and the young generation's committee also did their very best to achieve something that would be grateful for all. If only everyone did cooperate really well. Imperfections are inevitable anyway. This is something that each one of us could learn from.
So much for that, there were series of activities held including the groupings that may be held permanently for the upcoming Sports Festival and Grand Reunion with elders hopefully. I belonged to the 3rd group and I only knew a very few from our group. This is quite interesting for I can hopefully get to know some other relatives I am undoubtedly unfamiliar with.
As I've said, the reunion was good! It went well. Thanks to the persons behind who made it possible and especially to the hardwork of the Working Committee who spent most of their summertime to do the preparations and until the final day. And a very big thanks to our creator, the Almighty Allah (SWT) for keeping us safe and well all these days up to now!
I've always been a proud kin of the Datumulok Family especially the soaring high LILOKINS! =)

PBA: Politika, Basketball at Artista
Funny it may seem that Filipinos are so much into politics, sports, and entertainment. Well it's a great thing that Filipinos are indeed known when it comes to these fields but believe it or not, mostly are not quite pleasing. It's not pleasing to the point that we make funny things regarding those inorder to supress the trueness of the undesirability of it. Regardless of any remarks or comments on these industries, I just wanna share these thoughts regarding PBA or I might say my certain views.
POLITICS (POLITIKA)
Political Periods like campaigns and elections, the streets are more flashy and crowded. It can be considered more extravagant than a fiesta! It's already annoying because all you'll ever see are campaign ads posted everywhere and just when you thought someone's gonna give you fliers/pamphlets regarding an opportunity, it's actually a campaign ad still! There's nothing wrong with that but the fact that it's already too much is ridiculous. Another thing that's dominant during these periods are the TV Ads or visits by the rich candidates. They're usually with influential/"sikat" Artists and/or basketball players in order for them to gain more of people's attention. This idea is both beneficial to the candidate and the "endorser". It's a matter of give-and-take.
When it comes to candidacy, it's so funny to think that there are a lot of rallies against the government that occured a million times already when for all we know, it's the people that put those officials in their respective seats. Well some may say that those candidates bought their positions and we can do nothing about it yet we let them. We say they're just so powerful but have we ever thought that we made them also that way? I mean for those who really took their side into this matter.
Since 2010 Elections is fast approaching we're now aware of the early campaigns and "help-for-the-people" strategies by those rumored or now known soon-to-be running for certain positions figures by next year. TV, radios, billboards, newspapers, and the like were slowly flooded by names of these political figures. I was wondering since last year that the roads that I get to travel each day are almost all under constructions/re-constructions. I mean after a certain part, here goes another and this is obviously unusual. Oh well, I didn't say it's one of the strategies but it could be (for the benefit of the doubt). haha! But let's take on the brighter side, after all it's a long wait that our rocky-holey-semi-concrete roads are on its way to be better. :D And that at least the taxes that were paid are in a way used to ease the lives of the Filipinos. ^__^
SPORTS (more likely Basketball)
From Street-like to Town game to NCAA and UAAP to PBA. Almost everyone's so into it. It's a major event aside from Pacqiuao's matches of course! Basketball players from NCAA , UAAP, and PBA are instant celebrities too! And I honestly consider myself a BIG FAN! Like any other girls who go "gaga-over-the-players". :) Anyhow, these basketball thing is now dominating the interests of mass. Sold out tickets and overcrowded play dates can attest to it. It is like saying you're not a Filipino if you're not a fan of basketball and/or the players itself! Well I believe I am a Filipino! haha! But of course, NBA is rocking mostly the middle and upperclass teens and adults. Still Filipinoish. hehe =)
ENTERTAINMENT (Mga Artista in any point)
Showbiz rules the Philippines as I could say. haha! Where do we get the new trends (aside from those who are really into the fashion world and attends every shows of prominent designers), the latest of all the latest buzzes and the much talked about hunks and hot girls in the country and abroad especially nowadays with the highly paid attetntion Korean Version of Meteor Garden and Hayden-Katrina Video. We're so much carried away with what this industry gives us that we never thought it has already invaded us. It may not be necessarily local showbiz but also international ones. If you'd ever disagree, think twice. You may be called "abnormal" or "as-if". hehehe =)
That's how I see this PBA Industry, some of you may agree and some might as well contradict. This is a democratic country anyway. ^__^ And I'm kinda feeling bored that I come up with this one. hahaha. :)) And now I'm tired. I don't want to make it any longer na. It's gonna be too senseless by then. hehe.
TWEENZ for reasons!

TWEENZ. Twins? biological twins? Could be mistaken as one (but most people who don't know us think yes!). We didn't really grew up together nor our age were that close. Haffy/Owie, Hafsha Darwiza M. Guro, is my maternal aunt's eldest child/daughter. We don't really look alike but people tend to believe we're really twins maybe because we call each other tweenz and we may have similar attributes that we gained from our sister mothers. This could also be caused by our super duper closeness with each other! We have similar likes and dislikes. We both love to dance and sing. We love art. We have a passion for the greatest dreams. We love to conceptualize a lot of things we really think is gonna happen with respect to our SEVERE eagerness and enthusiasm in achieving so (i do really hope!).
We both believe in depriving ourselves from limiting our abilities, talents and wild dreams because we know that these could be our stepping stone to our success in the near future. We know when one's happy or not. This is also the reason why we mostly depend on each other's comfort and support. Just like anybody else in this universe, we're also human that also know how to hurt and be hurt. We're all sinners anyway. But we give as much as possible right judgments and actions in every thing we do so as to refrain from unwanted reactions and pains to and from the people that surrounds us.
And just like any other humans who also can't be satisfied with other people and can't be appreciable to others, we too are loved and hated. That's a fact by which we accept. We can't please everybody anyway!
One thing that made us strong beyond the struggling years we've encountered is that we don't really have that 100% the same personality and likes, we also differ in certain things, yet we give each other our full support and understanding that help in our differences as beings created by ALLAH (SWT).
We want to live, laugh, and love at the very best we can!
*mucha lurv tweenz*
