PBA: Politika, Basketball at Artista

Funny it may seem that Filipinos are so much into politics, sports, and entertainment. Well it's a great thing that Filipinos are indeed known when it comes to these fields but believe it or not, mostly are not quite pleasing. It's not pleasing to the point that we make funny things regarding those inorder to supress the trueness of the undesirability of it. Regardless of any remarks or comments on these industries, I just wanna share these thoughts regarding PBA or I might say my certain views.

POLITICS (POLITIKA)
Political Periods like campaigns and elections, the streets are more flashy and crowded. It can be considered more extravagant than a fiesta! It's already annoying because all you'll ever see are campaign ads posted everywhere and just when you thought someone's gonna give you fliers/pamphlets regarding an opportunity, it's actually a campaign ad still! There's nothing wrong with that but the fact that it's already too much is ridiculous. Another thing that's dominant during these periods are the TV Ads or visits by the rich candidates. They're usually with influential/"sikat" Artists and/or basketball players in order for them to gain more of people's attention. This idea is both beneficial to the candidate and the "endorser". It's a matter of give-and-take.

When it comes to candidacy, it's so funny to think that there are a lot of rallies against the government that occured a million times already when for all we know, it's the people that put those officials in their respective seats. Well some may say that those candidates bought their positions and we can do nothing about it yet we let them. We say they're just so powerful but have we ever thought that we made them also that way? I mean for those who really took their side into this matter.

Since 2010 Elections is fast approaching we're now aware of the early campaigns and "help-for-the-people" strategies by those rumored or now known soon-to-be running for certain positions figures by next year. TV, radios, billboards, newspapers, and the like were slowly flooded by names of these political figures. I was wondering since last year that the roads that I get to travel each day are almost all under constructions/re-constructions. I mean after a certain part, here goes another and this is obviously unusual. Oh well, I didn't say it's one of the strategies but it could be (for the benefit of the doubt). haha! But let's take on the brighter side, after all it's a long wait that our rocky-holey-semi-concrete roads are on its way to be better. :D And that at least the taxes that were paid are in a way used to ease the lives of the Filipinos. ^__^

SPORTS (more likely Basketball)
From Street-like to Town game to NCAA and UAAP to PBA. Almost everyone's so into it. It's a major event aside from Pacqiuao's matches of course! Basketball players from NCAA , UAAP, and PBA are instant celebrities too! And I honestly consider myself a BIG FAN! Like any other girls who go "gaga-over-the-players". :) Anyhow, these basketball thing is now dominating the interests of mass. Sold out tickets and overcrowded play dates can attest to it. It is like saying you're not a Filipino if you're not a fan of basketball and/or the players itself! Well I believe I am a Filipino! haha! But of course, NBA is rocking mostly the middle and upperclass teens and adults. Still Filipinoish. hehe =)

ENTERTAINMENT (Mga Artista in any point)
Showbiz rules the Philippines as I could say. haha! Where do we get the new trends (aside from those who are really into the fashion world and attends every shows of prominent designers), the latest of all the latest buzzes and the much talked about hunks and hot girls in the country and abroad especially nowadays with the highly paid attetntion Korean Version of Meteor Garden and Hayden-Katrina Video. We're so much carried away with what this industry gives us that we never thought it has already invaded us. It may not be necessarily local showbiz but also international ones. If you'd ever disagree, think twice. You may be called "abnormal" or "as-if". hehehe =)

That's how I see this PBA Industry, some of you may agree and some might as well contradict. This is a democratic country anyway. ^__^ And I'm kinda feeling bored that I come up with this one. hahaha. :)) And now I'm tired. I don't want to make it any longer na. It's gonna be too senseless by then. hehe.
